I am passionate about sharing the knowledge and practice of supporting student success with parents, educators, and other professionals so that children are encountering compassionate, understanding, and skilled caregivers every day. Having provided over 300 hours of individualized, interactive trainings across the United States, I am available to work with your group, big or small. Topics and activities are always tailored to meet the needs of the audience, and attendees are provided with worksheets and handouts to utilize in their daily practice, as well as hands-on activities and interactive learning strategies. I bring an attachment-based, regulation-focused lens to any training I provide. Sample topics for trainings may include any combination of understanding and supporting the following:
- Regulation and resiliency for academic and social success (building integration between the downstairs brain and upstairs brain)
- Self-regulation and executive functioning (school-age and preschool-age)
- Social communication/social-regulation
- Emotional-regulation
- Metacognitive thinking skills
- Speech and language development
- Early intervention strategies, especially related to joint attention and early language development
- Strategies for therapists and/or teachers to partner with families
