I believe that effective therapy begins with safe, trusting relationships, and relies upon collaboration with the client, family, school team, community partners, and other professionals. Each client has a unique constellation of strengths and vulnerabilities, and the therapy tools and strategies I incorporate are always individualized to the client's strengths, interests, and goals. I specialize in therapy for infants through young adults, and welcome clients to come exactly as they are.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy sessions focus on empowering clients to explore and activate various tools and strategies in order to confidently communicate and maintain meaningful relationships. Parent and caregiver education and support is a cornerstone to successful therapy, and our wholistic support plan will involve regular caregiver consultation time. Individual therapy sessions can be performed in-clinic, in-home, at the student's school site, or at a community location. Individual therapy may target the following within a neurodivergent-affirming framework:
Social communication and pragmatic language development
Self-regulation and executive functioning skills
Self-awareness and personal reflection skills (metacognitive skills)
Early intervention (birth through preschool age)
Articulation and/or phonological skills
Receptive and expressive language development

Dyad and Group Therapy
Dyad and group therapy sessions are ideal for supporting social communication confidence and self-/emotional-regulation capacities within real peer relationships. Group therapy sessions involve a dynamic goal-setting period, during which specific the strengths and vulnerabilities of each client are uncovered and explored. This is followed by activities and interventions that match the unique needs of the dyad or group. Dyad and group therapy may target the following within a neurodivergent-affirming framework:
Social communication and pragmatic language development
Self-regulation and executive functioning skills
Self-awareness and personal reflection skills (metacognitive skills)

At this time, I do not take insurance, though I can provide families with itemized statements (superbills) that can be submitted to their insurance companies for potential reimbursement.
